Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about the platform, exam coverage, bilingual features, and academic methodology.
What is HimGK Plus?
HimGK Plus is a specialized preparation companion designed specifically for Himachal Pradesh state competitive examinations. It combines syllabus-aligned lessons, practice question banks, an automated mistake notebook, and rule-based spaced repetition to help aspirants master and retain Himachal General Knowledge and core syllabus subjects.
Is HimGK Plus affiliated with HPPSC or the Himachal Pradesh Government?
No. HimGK Plus is an independent, non-governmental educational service developed by HimGK Plus Education. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) or any department of the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Official notifications, examination dates, and syllabus announcements must always be verified on official government portals.
Which examinations are covered?
The platform is architected around major Himachal Pradesh state examinations, including the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS / HP Combined Competitive Exam), HP Allied Services, Naib Tehsildar, Sub-Inspector of Police, and state clerical and technical boards. We continuously verify and publish syllabus schemes as new material is reviewed.
Is the content available in both Hindi and English?
Yes. Every published lesson and question is available in authentic Hindi and English. You can configure your default language in your profile settings or tap the language toggle on any lesson screen to switch immediately.
How does the Mistake Notebook help my preparation?
When you take a practice quiz or diagnostic assessment, any question you answer incorrectly is automatically logged in your personal Mistake Notebook. The notebook counts how many times you missed that question and tracks whether you have successfully resolved it. You can re-attempt your mistake list at any time to turn weak points into strengths.
How does the Daily Study Plan decide what I should study?
When you set a daily study goal (e.g. 45 minutes), the system builds a balanced plan for today. It prioritizes scheduled spaced revisions that are due today, questions in your mistake notebook, and topics where recent quiz scores were low, followed by new syllabus lessons.
What does HimGK Plus cost during the pilot phase?
During our pilot testing period, access is free for participating aspirants. Our goal is to collect candid academic feedback on question quality, lesson accuracy, and application usability.
How do I request deletion of my account and data?
You can submit an online request at any time on our Data Deletion Request Page or email privacy@himgkplus.in from your registered address.
